The Athens International Symposium on Digestive Diseases invites you to beautiful Athens, the sunny and historic capital of Greece!
Our International Scientific Committee and our official organizer, the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, along with a significant number of world renowned experts, present the most attractive scientific event in S.E. Europe and The Balkans on Digestive Diseases.
Prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer, new advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and advanced case management, once again, will remain the core of our lectures and demonstrations. Our expansion into IBD related diseases and related therapeutic advancements will continue, with lectures from the best experts in the field.
We strive in the two days of our scientific program to provide a positive effect on improving patient quality of care.
Through lectures we transfer the knowledge and experience of the best scientists in the world.
Through live cases we demonstrate effective techniques of therapeutic interventions, from two of the best-known hospitals in Athens.
Through regular and advanced hands-on courses we provide valuable practical experience on new equipment and techniques for both our novice and experienced colleagues.
Our aim is to improve your knowledge, diagnostic approach, and therapeutic intervention, in order for you to achieve the optimal result for your patient.
This course is designed for gastroenterologists, surgeons, advanced endoscopists, health care providers, internists, general practitioners, trainees, nurses and technicians.

Athens, Greece - April 10, 2020
The Organizing Committee of the 5th AISDD 2020, in response to the critical events taking place around the word, has recognized that everyday life will not have returned to normal by July 2-3, 2020, the original date of the Symposium. It has concluded that a successful scientific meeting cannot take place on those dates. Therefore, it has decided to move the date of the 5th Athens International Symposium on Digestive Diseases to exactly a year later.
The 5th AISDD will take place on Friday & Saturday July 9-10, 2021.
Everything else remains the same: The exact same venue and accommodation hotel, the exact same scientific program, faculty, and hospitals involved.
The organizers, staff, and everyone involved, express their compassion to all those affected worldwide by COVID-19, and especially the families of those who have lost their lives in this pandemic.
We are all in this together.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee,
Dr. Ioannis Katsogridakis
Scientific Director, AISDD
